Debra Olson-Tolar, Ph.D.

Debra is a Spiritual Director and a Certified Grief Recovery Method® Specialist. She works with both individuals and groups and is passionate about providing a safe space for people to explore spirituality, grief, and healing. 

Debra earned her Ph.D. at University of Denver in Speech Communication and taught interpersonal communication, storytelling, public speaking, and other courses in human communication for over 20 years. Her training for spiritual direction was at the Hesychia School of Spiritual Direction in Tucson. She earned a specialist certificate from The Grief Recovery Institute®, and became a Certified Life-Cycle Celebrant™ through the Celebrant Foundation & Institute. Debra is also a professional storyteller and actor.
